Decorative table lamps, floor
lamps and chandeliers do more than simply illuminating; They create ambience. Can
you imagine a 5 star lobby without a fantastic chandelier hanging overhead? Why
is it there? Not just to light up the whole place but to make a lobby plush, opulent
and elegant. Why is a candlelight dinner thought of as special though a candle
is one of the most inexpensive lighting options? Lighting does more than just brighten
the rooms, it creates ambience, it creates mood. Hence it is very important to choose
your light with as more care as the colour of the room.

Lighting
Lighting can dramatically influence the feel of a room. The easiest thing to do
is simply fix a dimmer switch to the existing system to see what I mean!
These days many rooms are 'multi-tasking', a study area in a bedroom or a crafts
area in the dining room for instance.when you are designing a room It is really important to think about these various elements.
General Lighting
A centre pendant light is most common. Here a dimmer switch is of most use. You
may want to read or doze in front of the TV and now you can adjust the lighting
to suit. This can also be an integral part of the design of the room. A paper lantern
for a zen-inspired room or a dramatic chandelier for the full-on fantasy effect!
Accent Lighting
Spot light or sunken lights can be used to accent a display or an area of a room.
This can make a room feel more spacious and atmospheric. Accents can also be created
with table lamps, wall lights and different kinds of directional shades and bulbs.
Don’t forget interior lights for display cases as well.
Task Lighting
Here - think about desk lamps, daylight bulbs for crafts, hidden lighting for kitchen
work surfaces and different uses for the room in question.
Don’t forget about these! Bulbs now come in many shapes sizes and colours to complete
your chosen theme. Spot lights or sunken lights can be used to accent a display
